I have never had worse Asian food in my life! There is no love in their food preparation. Its slop! Never again!!! And I'm not a picky eater!

I've never used the delivery service, so I cannot say if it has improved since previous reviews were posted. However, I've been here many, many times for both the buffet and to order from the menu. Every time it is spectacular! I love this place. I suggest the lunch buffet... great options and a fantastic price! Enjoy!

Top notch Chinese in Cottage Grove. For lunch they serve a great buffet at a great price. A few highlights: the sweet and sour pork, the sesame chicken, egg rolls and the pork fried rice. Highly recommend and visit almost every time I'm in town.

I get Ho King delivered a lot because it's the only chinese food delivery place in Cottage Grove. The food is really hit or miss here. Hits: Hunan Chicken, Sesame Chicken, and House pan fried noodles. Misses: Anything beef related and the chicken chow mein. Now that I know what I love from here I'm addicted! I guess you just have to know what you like!

Most of these poor reviews seem to deal with delivery. I have no idea or comments about that. I used to work in the same strip mall and this was my favorite lunch place. The Chow Fun is amazing! Thick savory rice noodles with ample chicken or beef or whatever you order. I have told my sister that this is what our Grandmother would have made if she were Chinese. They get their noodles fresh which I believe makes a big difference. Also very neighborhood type place - they remember your name and order after you've been a couple times. They even remembered me after I came back 2 years after leaving that job. Yes, I would probably order off the menu as opposed to the buffet. This is a place where that makes a big difference in flavor. Buffet is just fine, esp for picky kids, etc.

It's a buffet - where's the food? It was snowing, I didn't feel like driving far and I was wearing sloppy clothes. That's my excuse for being lazy and going there. I would have normally headed to my fav place in WSP. Well, I should have! Not only was this buffet lacking, my fav place is now closed! Grrr. We are seated upon arrival and we order a water and DC. We go up to get some and food, what, I ask to myself, where's the food?? I get a couple of marginal items and sit down. Um, 10 mins after ordering the water and I DC, I have to go up to the counter and remind the teenage texting chatting server we haven't received them. She arrives at the the table and here is the exchange - Me, "Will be more food put on the buffet?" TTCS, "Well, what are you looking for and I'll have them make it." Me, "Not sure since it's a buffet and there isn't much up there." After she left I said to my dining companion, "She thinks I'm a bitch. I know it." Once the food was placed on the buffet it was not bad, but if I knew what I wanted, I would have ordered off the menu. On second thought, if I knew what this place was like, I would have went somewhere else. Not good, skip it, it's not worth it.

Placed a take out order for 4 of us at work on Friday and one of the orders was supposed to be lemon chicken; however we ended up with sweet and sour. The sesame chicken with soggy, the egg rolls did not have alot of flavor. This was not a great experience and unfortunately it is one of the better Chinese places in Cottage Grove

This place is not good. Ordered take out on a busy Saturday night, got it home, too salty to eat. It all ended up in the trash.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
